Welcome to Ars Poetica 2017
In December 2016 Ars Poetica 2017 received over 130 entries from 55 poets from Kitsap, Mason and Jefferson counties. 108 jury-selected poems were made available to the artists. How it works after the poems are selected After the jurying is complete and the poets notified, the list of poems are sent to artists, both independent and those associated with the galleries shown here to interpret in their chosen artistic medium. An artist may choose up to three poems to interpret. In April, May and June, poets will read their poems and each artist will have an opportunity to describe their unique experience of interpreting the poem at the sponsoring venues. See the Calendar for the dates and times of the art shows and poetry readings. The public are cordially invited to any of the four free readings to enjoy the verbal and visual interpretation of two artistic forms brought together at these special side-by-side events. Questions?
